Are Your Kids Doing the Homeschooler Hop?

“The what? The Homeschooler Hop?”

Now, don’t confuse the Homeschooler Hop with the good ol’ classic Bunny Hop.

The Homeschooler Hop isn’t a dance, but an opportunity for your kiddos to show their awesomeness to the world.

Homeschooler Hop is a virtual Show & Tell on Periscope.  Every Friday starting at 9 AM PST, a homeschooler shares a creation, then passes the broadcast onto another homeschooler who will show a creation, and so on.  Other homeschoolers watch, ask questions and leave encouraging comments.

Reasons to Do the Homeschooler Hop

  • Homeschooler Hop gives homeschoolers an audience for sharing their knowledge. When a child knows that others will be viewing their work, they take more pride in it.
  • Homeschooler Hop gives homeschoolers a low-key way to get comfortable talking to the masses.
  • Homeschooler Hop encourages digital responsibility & healthy social media habits. It’s an opportunity for your kids to “try out” social media under your guidance.
  • Homeschooler Hop provides encouragement and inspiration for both the presenters and the viewers.  As kids view other homeschoolers’ projects, they may be spurred on to learn something new or develop a skill.
  • Homeschooler Hop builds community.  Participating families will connect with other homeschooling families and form a support network.
